Student Level:        Advanced Intermediate to Advanced

 

Kit Cost:                   $90

 

Students must be comfortable with reading directions and diagrams and making button hole and four-sided stitches.  Experience with Hardanger and/or other drawn thread techniques is helpful.

 

 

You will create this 17th century style sampler in a book style sewing case.  A wool-stuffed pin cushion, needle book with reversible stitching, scissors pocket, and fob complete the ensemble.

Diane Clements of Walnut Creek, CA, is an award-winning needleworker who has been stitching since she was a child. Currently specializing in reticello and other cut and drawn techniques, she has taught many workshops and has exhibited in numerous shows, Daine’s articles on reticello appear in The NeedleWorker and Fine Lines.  Two pieces of her embroidery were published in Donna Kooler’s Encyclopedia of Needlework and she was the featured Designer Across America in the March 2001 issue of Needle Arts.
