TURQUOISE TRAIL CHAPTER

EDUCATION AND PROGRAM SCHEDULE FOR 2012

PROGRAM MEETINGS LOCATION:

In the community room at North Valley Library, 7704 2nd

Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107

(to phone the library for directions 505-897-8823).

DATE: 2nd Saturday of the month at

TIME: 1:30 PM - 4 PM

INFORMAL SIT & STITCH events are held on the 4th Sunday of the months at members' home or in public stitching, locations to be scheduled.

 

BUSINESS-BOARD MEETINGS occur over lunch, no host, at restaurants prior to the program meetings.  All members and guests are welcome.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS LOCATION, TIME & DETAILS as announced.

  • i January 14 - Kumihimo - Japanese Braiding held at the Beaded Iris*.
  • i February 11 - NO PROGRAM meeting.

 (note Adobe Stitchers ANG is scheduling a special class in February).

  • i February 25-26 Betsy Morgan's Toy Chest Etui Special Class**
  • i March 10 - Shashiko - Joyce Perz will demo this type fo Japanese stitchery and show us her

Shashiko stitching.

  • i April 14 - begin two-tier 3-month workshops: Beginning Stumpwork*** (facilitator Rebecca

Wardlaw) and Advance Pulled Thread*** (facilitator Marlene Bartolomei);

  • i May 12 - continuation of April projects;
  • i June 9 - continuation of April projects.
  • i July - Roumanian Point Lace (facilitator Shirley Fleischauer).
  • i August 14 - begin two-tier 3-month workshops: Crewel*** (facilitator Rebecca Wardlaw) and

Beginning Blackwork*** (teacher TBA);

  • i September 11 - continuation of August projects;
  • i October 13 - continuation of August projects.
  • i November 10 - Lois Lamphier will demo Swedish Weaving.
  • i December 8 - Holiday Party (private party, members & invited guests).

** Special Location - Presbyterian High Resort's community room, Reservations required no later than

December 24, 2011.

*** Project Designs require pre-purchase of a design and/or kit; otherwise, plan on "doodle-cloth" or

note-book of the stitches.
